YOUR BIRTH YOUR CHOICE
Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, caesarean birth, or you’re still weighing up your options, we’ll spend our time looking at the information and practical preparation that is most relevant to you.
Planning a home birth?
We’ll focus on what it’s really like to plan to birth at home, including practical home birth preparation, setting up and using a birth pool, creating your birth space, what happens if you need to transfer to hospital, and the things you can do to feel prepared for different possibilities.
Planning a hospital birth?
We’ll look at how you can support a physiological birth in a hospital setting, creating a calm and supportive birth environment, when to leave for hospital, what to expect when you arrive, and how to understand and navigate potential interventions if they are recommended.
Planning a caesarean birth?
We’ll talk through your options for a positive and personalised caesarean birth experience, including planning a gentle caesarean, what happens if labour starts before your planned caesarean date, and how to prepare for your recovery — both in hospital and once you’re home.
Not sure where or how you want to birth yet?
We will work through all birth options available, explore how you feel about them and where you would feel safe and supported to give birth.
“Kerry is a fantastic hypnobirthing teacher who gives you all the information you need, backed with data in a non judgemental way. Even though it was my 3rd birth, I learned so much and felt like I had all the information I needed to make informed and safe decisions. ”
Doula Support
I really care about your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey and what is important to you is important to me.
Birth can feel incredible when women feel supported along their journey no matter what path their birth takes.
This is why I trained as a doula to support families birthing across Nottinghamshire. If you are thinking about having doula support I offer a range of birth and antenatal packages to support you.
