Postnatal Support Nottingahm
The first few weeks post birth can sometimes feel overwhelming as you navigate your new role as a mother/parent, whether it is your first, second or third baby. My role as a postnatal doula is to provide non-judgmental practical and emotional support to you and your family and ease this transition as you adjust to life with your new baby.
The fourth trimester is described as the first three months post birth where you transition to mother/parent hood and your baby transitions to life outside the womb.
Everyone deserves to feel supported, nourished and cared for during those first few months. In today’s world we often don’t live near friends or family or have support network or we may not feel like we can ask for help. My role is to give you that support network helping you to rest, feel cared for and empowered during this transition.
I will support you to feel confident as a parent and I will be guided by what you need to help you during those first few weeks and months.
I have supported many families postnatally across Nottingham. I work with each family on an individual basis by planning ahead with them for when their baby arrives to help support a gentle transition to your new family.

“SHE MADE THE WORLD OF DIFFERENCE TO ME AND MY PARTNER”
I was looking for a doula specifically for postnatal support and came across Kerry - it ended up being the best decision working with her! During a period that can be completely overwhelming, she was there to help, both practically (making meals, helping set things up) and emotionally. If you are considering a doula, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her, she made the world of difference to me and my partner.
I am a mother, wife, friend, doula…
I’m Kerry, the founder of Barefaced Birth, and I support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period with a calm, compassionate, and evidence-based approach. Clients often tell me they feel more confident, informed, and empowered after working together, knowing they’ve been fully supported and listened to throughout their journey.
I aim to create a safe, relaxed space and go above and beyond to help families feel prepared for birth, whatever path it takes.
