Although I support women and birth workers to heal from a traumatic perinatal experience, It is for anyone who has experienced a traumatic, difficult or stressful experience; whether it is perinatal or non perinatal experience the Three Step Rewind can be used to process any memory.
Birth or Perinatal Trauma
Pregnancy and birth and postpartum can be a beautiful, empowering and transformative experience for some and for others it may be traumatic, distressing or a scary experience which can result in feelings of pain, anger, grief or even shame.
This could be as a result of interventions, birth plans changing, feelings of fear, helplessness, not feeling listened to, heard or supported, obstetric violence and sometimes loss of control during birth. It may also be a difficult pregnancy or breast feeding experience that has remained with you.
For some, they may have imagined how their pregnancy, birth or postpartum journey would feel and look; however this may have not have turned out the way you imaged which can leave you feeling loss of control, anger, pain and fear.
Birth Partners may also experience trauma from witnessing a birth that they may have found scary, traumatic or difficult.
Phobias
It can also help you with a fear a phobia birth or non birth related it is an effective method to help you ease any phobia you may have that has been holding you back.
“I was feeling quite traumatised after the birth of my 3rd child during the Covid pandemic. Kerry melted away all of those feelings of anger, hurt and frustration that i still held onto about my treatment during birth and left me with all the warm and loving memories of meeting my daughter for the first time. I am so glad that I found Kerry and the re-wind process, it’s helped me so much to be able to move on. I highly recommend for anyone else struggling”.

How it Works
The Three Step Rewind takes place over 3 sessions that take place one week apart.
In the first session, we focus on talking through your experience in a safe non judgemental space. If you prefer not to talk through your experience, we can focus on the feelings that you have when you think back to your memory or experience. We will gently explore how you would like to feel.
The session will finish with a guided relaxation which you can also listen to at home in between sessions. This session usually lasts up to 2 hours.
In the second session is the “rewind” element which focuses on helping you to dissociate the negative feelings that you have linked to your memory and helping you to file that memory away as we normally do with most of our day to day experiences. This session usually lasts an hour.
The third session we focus on how you are now feeling, the positive changes that you have noticed and support and focus on moving forward. This session usually lasts for an hour.
Occasionally it may be necessary to repeat session 2.
