Barefaced Birth Terms & Conditions

HYPNOBIRTHING COURSE

Please be aware that hypnobirthing is not a replacement for medical care or guidance. Your instructor is unable to make decisions for you, only point you in the direction of evidence based information. Barefaced Birth are not able to give individual advice in regards to your pregnancy, health or wellbeing and clients should seek advice from their Community Midwife, GP, Obstetrician or another qualified health professional.

FEE

For group classes, the course fee is for one birthing parent and their birth partner who will be supporting and attending the birth. If your birth partner is unable to attend a session, you may bring a friend or relative for that session (please ask prior to the session in advance) if you did not want to attend by yourself. If you have a friend or relative who is pregnant and would like to attend the course, a separate booking must be made and a course fee paid for. You are more than welcome to attend the class by yourself, course fee remains the same as the course fee is based on the pregnant parent which includes support and course material.

DEPOSIT ONLY HYPNOBIRTHING BOOKINGS

If you opt to secure your space on a course with a deposit, this deposit is non-refundable should you wish to cancel or change your mind. You agree to pay the remaining course fee no later than 2 weeks before the planned start date of your course to secure your space. If payment is not promptly received then your space may be offered to another client on our wait list. If you wish to cancel your booked space on a group course after the final balance has been paid please refer to Barefaced Birth’s cancellation policy.

For private courses, payment is required in full to confirm the booking. If we have agreed a fee to secure the booking, payment will be due no later than 2 weeks before the planned start of the courses and/or session.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I wish to cancel a space on a group course booking or a private 1:1 course

You may cancel your booked space on a group course at any time; you must do this in writing. Please write to us at hello@barefacedbirth.co.uk.

If you choose to cancel your space more than four weeks before the course start date and full payment has been received, you will receive a refund, less £50 to cover administration cost via your original payment method for group bookings and £100 non refundable fee for private course booking.

If you choose to cancel your space between four and two weeks before the course start date you will receive a refund of 50% of the total cost of the course via your original payment method. In respect of group bookings, Barefaced Birth will endeavour to make every effort to re-sell and fill your booked space to another client. If the space can be re-sold, then a refund of £50 for group courses or £100 for private courses to cover administration, work prepared and arrangements. Payment will be given to you via your original payment method.

If you choose cancel your space between two weeks and 72 hours before the course start date you will receive a refund of 25% of the total cost of the course via your original payment method.

If you choose to cancel your space less than 72 hours before the start of the course Barefaced Birth are unable to issue any refunds. This is due to applicable administration work, venue fees, childcare fees having been finalised and paid for at this stage. Your payment will be deemed fully earned.

However, under exceptional circumstances we can offer a full refund at any point up until the start of the first class of the course. Exceptional circumstances include: your baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy and you being admitted to hospital and therefore unable to attend.

Barefaced Birth understand that from time to time there may be other exceptional circumstances for reasons of your cancellation; should you still seek a refund you must do this in writing. Please write to us at hello@barefacedbirth.co.uk with full details of your refund request for us to review.

If you choose to cancel your space after you have attended the first class, no refunds will be offered.

The final decision if a refund is applicable in each specific situation rests with Barefaced Birth.

I wish to cancel a class due to sickness

Group classes

If you or your partner are unwell and unable to attend a group class, Barefaced Birth will send you the missed class content via email. A private 1 hour online call will also be offered to answer any questions you may have if you should wish. This will be free of charge.

Private 1:1 Classes

If you or your partner has booked an online private course with Barefaced Birth or a private 1:1 in person course and you or your partner are unwell or unable to attend a class we will endeavour to reschedule the class and/or course to a mutual date to be agreed in writing. This may incur additional costs (childcare, travel, administration) and must be agreed and paid for in advance; Barefaced Birth will endeavour to avoid additional costs where possible.

I wish to cancel a Step Rewind Process

You may choose to cancel your 3 Step Rewind Process booking at any time; you must do this in writing. Please write to us at hello@barefacedbirth.co.uk

If you choose to cancel your 3 Step Rewind Process and do so within 48 hours of your first appointment and you do not wish to continue with the process, you will receive a refund, less £15 to cover administration costs via your original payment method.

If you choose to cancel your 3 Step Rewind Process less than 48 hours prior to your first appointment and you do not wish to continue with the process you will receive a refund of 50% via your original payment method.

If you cancel your 3 Step Rewind Process less than 24 hours prior to your first appointment and you do not wish to continue with the process Barefaced Birth will not be able to issue a refund; this is due to applicable administration work, venue fees, childcare fees having been finalised and paid for at this stage, and due to nature of the appointment it is unlikely to be filled last minute by another client.

If you request to cancel after you have attended the first appointment, no refunds will be offered.

The final decision if a refund is applicable in each specific situation rests with Barefaced Birth.

I wish to change my 3 Step Rewind Process appointment due to sickness

Please give 24 hours’ notice to change the appointment. To do this please contact us in writing hello@barefacedbirth.co.uk.

If cancelling less than 24 hours prior to appointment time additional costs may be incurred.

If you need to reschedule an appointment Barefaced Birth will endeavour to do this on a mutual date to be agreed in writing.

UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

Group Bookings

If for any unforeseen circumstances that Barefaced Birth need to reschedule a class and/or course we will give you as much notice as possible, this may be due to a sickness, birth support or any other unforeseen circumstances. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled class and/or course we will invite you to attend another suitable class and/or course subject to availability. If you decide not to accept then we will issue a full refund for that session.

In the unlikely event that the course venue needs to be changed Barefaced Birth will endeavour to locate a venue within 1 mile of the original venue.

Under exceptional circumstances Barefaced Birth may need to cancel your booking. We will invite you to attend another suitable class and/or course subject to availability. If you decide not to accept then a full refund will be given.

Barefaced Birth require a minimum number of participants to run group courses; if we have not reached this number, we reserve the right to cancel the course.

If the government legally imposes quarantine conditions due to Coronavirus, group and private in person courses will be offered online at the same date and time as the original course booking. In this instance if you decide not to attend, no refund will be offered.

Private 1:1 course booking online and in person or a 3 Step Rewind Process

If for any unforeseen circumstances Barefaced Birth need to reschedule your booking we will give you as much notice as reasonably possible. We will contact you to reschedule your booking to a mutual date to be agreed in writing.
